Bakit ba ako galit sa kabobohan? Siguro dahil sabi nga nila, ang magnanakaw galit sa kapwa.
(Why do I hate stupidity? Maybe because, as the saying goes, a thief hates his fellow.)
The more I learn, the more I realise my ignorance. Parang Socrates lang. Wow. Inequate ang sarili sa pilosopo.
(The more i learn, the more i realise my ignorance. Like what socrates said. Whoa. I’m comparing myself to a philosopher now?)
Ilang taon ba si Soc nung sinabi niya yun? Baka matanda na rin siya nun. Baka dati know it all din siya. Baka napahiya na rin siya sa kalaunan for always thinking he was right pero hindi pala.
(How old was Soc when he said that, I wonder. Maybe he was also already old then. Maybe he used to be a know it all too when he was younger. Maybe he got served too for claiming to be always right only to find out he wasnt.)
Sometimes it’s nice to equate one’s standards with being as high as those society views as wise or super intelligent.
Yun mga sobrang galing kaya walang pasensya sa kaestupiduhan.
(Those who are so brilliant and hence have no tolerance for idiocy.)
Ang nakakainis, pag deep down alam mong hindi ka naman kasing galing talaga, so what right have you to hate stupidity when you’re as bobo as the one you hate, you realize?
(What’s annoying is when deep down you know you can’t be as good as they, so what right have you to say you don’t have patience for stupidity when you’re as stupid as the one you hate, you realize?)
